Tom Jones – Registered Pharmacist

Mr. Jones graduated from pharmacy school at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 1965.  He worked in independent pharmacies for several years before opening Tom Jones Discount Drugs in 1974.  Since then, he has expanded his business to include human and animal compounding, home medical equipment, pharmaceutical grade herbal products, diabetes products, and disease state management consultations.  Mr. Jones is a member of Garner United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Garner Morning Rotary Club, and a member of the Garner Chamber of Commerce.

Caroline Jones Hodges – Registered Pharmacist

Caroline attended pharmacy school at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.  She worked as a pharmaceutical representative for Schering for three years before joining the staff at Tom Jones Drug.  In her spare time, Caroline enjoys volunteering as a Pop Warner cheerleading coach, is a co-chair of the Tarheel swimming association and coach of the Garner Dolphins swim team.  She also works on the weekends as a supplemental pharmacist at Wake Med Hospital and is a member of Holland United Methodist Church.

Dr. Bob Dupuis – Doctor of Pharmacy

Bob has been a member of the Tom Jones Drug team for 15 years.  He received his Bachelor’s in Pharmacy from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.  He completed a pharmacy residency at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.  He received his doctorate of pharmacy (PharmD) from the State University of New York (SUNY) in Buffalo, NY.  In 1985, he began a career as a faculty member in school of pharmacy at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.  He teaches nephrology, pharmacokinetics, and immunology.  In his free time, Bob enjoys watching basketball and tennis.

Ben Valena – Professional Liaison

Ben has worked with Tom Jones Drug since 2002.  He educates physicians and the public about customized medication options for individuals requiring an alternative drug form, dosage, flavoring, or a drug that is not commercially available. Ben graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, PA, with a B.A. degree in Biology and participated in his pedorthic training at Oklahoma State University-Okmulgee. Ben is certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics as a pedorthist and fitter-orthotics. His hobbies and past times include strength and cardiovascular training, skiing, golfing, traveling, spending time with his family and friends, martial arts, and continuing education.

Darryl Howard – Home Medical Equipment Manager

Darryl began working at Tom Jones Drug in July 2004.  He enjoys serving patients and helping meet their home medical needs.  He has completed the Acor Footwear Training Course for fitting diabetic shoes.  He is currently attending Shaw University to pursue his bachelor’s degree in social work.

Chris Howard – Medical Billing and Insurance Coordinator

Chris has worked at Tom Jones Drug since April 2007.  She is employed as the Home Medical Billing Specialist and is pursuing certification in Medical Billing.  She enjoys reading in her spare time and also is very talented in cross-stitching.

Giovanni Griffin – Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), Compounding Technician

Kay Holder – Pharmacy Technician

Kay has worked in retail pharmacy for the past 10 years and has been with Tom Jones Drug since August 2007.  She enjoys solving challenging problems and is planning to continue with school.  In her free time, Kay likes to play video games, shop, travel, and participate in a bowling league.

Rebecca Harper – Pharmacy Technician

April Pricota – Pharmacy Technician

April has worked with Tom Jones Drug since March 2007.  She is currently pursuing her doctorate of pharmacy (PharmD) from Campbell University.  In her spare time, April enjoys playing golf and hanging out with her husband and dog.

Angela Pitts – Cashier/ Front End

Angela has been with Tom Jones Drug since August 2007 as a cashier and is training to become a pharmacy technician.  She enjoys reading and writing poetry in her spare time.

Taylor Betts – Cashier/ Front End

Taylor has been with Tom Jones Drug since February 2006.  She is currently attending Campbell University and majoring in pre-pharmacy.  Taylor’s hobbies include reading and hanging out friends and family.

Heather Brickhouse - Office Assistant

Heather has been with Tom Jones Drug for the past seven months. Some of her hobbies are photography, cooking, reading and has taken up exercising to improve her overall health and strength.

Sunghye Davidson – Compounding Technician

Sunghye has been with Tom Jones Drug since September 2003. She is certified in aseptic techniques trained by Prescription Compounding Centers of America (PCCA). Born in Korea and moved to United States in 1992. She enjoys reading and watching TV.

April Pridgen – Medical Communications Coordinator

April has been with Tom Jones Drug since September 2007.  She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Campbell University.  She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) and Masters of Science in Clinical Research (MSCR) at Campbell.  April has completed courses to become certified in Immunizations and Lipid Management upon graduation.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, shopping, scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends.

Keri Medlin – Medical Communications Coordinator

Keri has been working with Tom Jones Drug since January 2008.  She attended Meredith College and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology.  She was a high school biology teacher before returning to school at Campbell University to pursue her Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD).  In her free time, Keri enjoys shopping, stamping, and spending time with family and friends.
